HOW WE BEGAN .....

A vision was brought to life and a new group of worshippers started meeting as a congregation on December 3, 1967 as Port Admiral Chapel.  The first building was rented, and soon there was a need to add 2 portable buildings to accommodate the new growing church.

This dedicated group of members eventually saw their vison burst into reality becoming a full-fledged church On April 30, 1972. Ridge Crest Baptist Church was born and was no longer dependent on other organizations.  The church soon bought the land where the current building stands and had the portable buildings moved to their own land!!  Eventually a permanent worship center was built and Ridge Crest Baptist Church has been quite a positive influence in the surrounding community ever since.

Ridge Crest Baptist continues to grow and adapt.  New buildings have been added since that first worship center and Ridge Crest Baptist is constantly updating and remodeling as needed.  I hope you will come and see how we have grown.

WHO WE ARE NOW ....

OUR MISSION

Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers.

OUR VISION

We strive to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls, but we make it an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.

OUR VALUES

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.
